Donna Dolphy, who has been named a semi-finalist in the Salon Magazine’s Canadian Hairstylist of the Year Awards for Canadian Hairstylist of the Year shows she’s more than just a pretty face – and longtime maker of lovely locks.
The veteran hairdresser, whose Yorkville salon specializes in the Non-Kissing Blow-Dry and Virgin Cuticle Hair Extensions, has kicked off a Sidewalk Sale this week that allows customers to enjoy 20% off products and services, along with the altruistic feeling of knowing that a generous portion of the proceeds will be going towards Ernestine’s Women’s Shelter.
This Saturday, September 23, 2017 guests at Donna Dolphy Salon can savor some Jamaican rum punch and jerk chicken all day while being primed with a sure-fire ‘do that will make them look as though they just stepped out of a salon commercial.
For the month of October, Donna Dolphy Salon will be collecting donation monetary funds as well collecting non-perishable food items, then on the last Saturday of the month, on October 28, there will have another jerk chicken and rum punch customer appreciation charity end event.
Ernestine’s Women’s Shelter, an organization run by women, provides support and shelter for women and children escaping violence and assists women and children in rebuilding their lives by providing crisis intervention and a range of holistic support services, while acknowledging the multitude of issues facing survivors of abuse.
